Key competences

Today we are going to have a look at the key competences that will be achieved throughout this learning situation and how thay will be focused.

First of all, the key competences are those abilities, knowledge and attitudes that the student must develop during the learning situation. These competences let students apply what they have learnt to their daily life. 

• Linguistic communication competence: Throughout the project, students will communicate both orally and written, expressing their emotions in a clear way. They will improve their ability to use language for interpreting, cooperating, and expressing themselves creatively by working on the short film, and presenting their work in the final session.
• Multilingual competence: This competence will also be worked throughout the project because they will be learning  in English all the vocabulary that they already know in Spanish 
• Digital competence: By engaging with interactive tools such as video clips, online games like Wordwall, and digital recording devices for the final product, students will learn to make a good use of technology. They will practice using digital platforms, collaborating to plan and record their group videos, and using multimedia to communicate ideas effectively
• Personal, social and learning to learn competence: Students will improve their ability to empathize and encourage self-reflection through the first activities
• Citizenship competence: They will work this competence unintentionally by fostering respect, tolerance, and positive interaction between them
• Cultural awareness and expression competence: Students explore emotions through creative role-play, drawing, storytelling, and group video creation, allowing them to express ideas and feelings in creative ways. Through these activities, they will learn to communicate emotions respectfully and express themselves using both artistic and linguistic resources.
