Closing Our Learning Situation

Image
Welcome back, and for the very last time, to this blog.   πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ’—πŸ’— This final entry marks the closing of our learning journey, a space where we have shared ideas, explored methodologies, and reflected together on the power of active and cooperative learning.´ As we reach the end of this learning situation, it is time to look back and reflect on the journey we have taken together. Over the past weeks, we have explored new methodologies, faced challenges, and discovered the power of learning through active participation and collaboration. This experience has shown us that education is not only about acquiring knowledge, but also about developing skills that will accompany us beyond the classroom: critical thinking, teamwork, creativity, and the ability to connect ideas with real-world contexts. Working with Problem-Based Learning (PBL)  has allowed us to move from guided activities to more autonomous projects, where students became the true protagonists of their learning. Each p...

Evaluation of the Lessons

Hello Everyone!! ⭐️❤️ Today we will go deep into the evaluation process of our lessons!! In the first lesson , the teacher will write small notes about the performance and behaviour of the students. She will give special attention to the last activity, not only to the evaluation their performance, but also to the good use of the digital device.  In the second lesson , the teacher will still take notes about the performance of the students, congratulating out loud those ones that say the answers correctly. The pupils will correct the answer sheet all together with the teacher´s help. In lesson three the professor will evaluate the students during the correction of the movie questions. Also, the teacher will evaluate the creativity and writing competences when doing the creative ending.  In the fourth lesson the educator will also evaluate the creativity and writing skills of the kids as well as their use of the grammar previously taught and reviewed.  In this lesson, th...

Final Steps of Our Learning Situation

Hello everyone, welcome back to our blog! πŸ‘‹πŸ’—This is one of our last entries because we are now reaching the end of our learning situation. It has been a long journey full of creativity, teamwork, and reflection, and we are excited to share how we are putting together the final pieces of our project. At this stage, we are carefully reviewing and adjusting the activities so that they connect clearly with the different areas of digital competence. We want to make sure that every step of the process is not only engaging for the students but also meaningful in terms of skills: searching and organizing information, communicating respectfully online, creating multimedia materials, and reflecting on how technology can support emotional understanding. By aligning the activities with these areas, we ensure that the learning situation is realistic and valuable. We are also checking the flow of the lessons to confirm that each activity builds naturally on the previous one. From brainstorming ide...

Working on Digital Competences

Image
Hi everyone, and welcome back to our blog!! πŸ’—  Today, we will show you how we have developed the five digital competences throughout the lessons of our learning situation. In today’s world, which is increasingly digital, these skills are essential for learning, communicating, and collaborating effectively. Throughout our lessons, we have worked on finding and managing information, sharing ideas and working together respectfully online, creating and editing digital content, protecting our devices and personal data, and solving problems using digital tools. These competences are not only important for academic success, but also for personal growth and navigating everyday life. For this reason, we have actively applied and practiced them in meaningful ways throughout our lessons, helping us become more confident and responsible digital citizens. In Lesson One we mainly work on the area of Information and Digital Literacy , since students are guided to search, filter, evaluate, and or...

Recording Our Video

Image
Hello and welcome to our blog!πŸ‘‹πŸ’  As part of this learning situation, the final product is for students to record a video that shows empathy, teamwork, and emotional management. To make sure that this idea can really be carried out and is realistic, we decided to record a video ourselves. By doing so, we could test the process, check the timing, and confirm that the activity is both possible and meaningful. This experience also helped us to see how technology can be used creatively in the classroom, making the final product not only achievable but also engaging for the students. Today we recorded our video as part of the final product of our learning situation. The activity was very exciting because it allowed us to put into practice everything we have been working on about emotions, empathy, and teamwork. While acting out the scene, we had to show how friends can support each other when something goes wrong, and how empathy helps us to feel better together. The process of record...

Bilingual and Multilingual Projects with ICT Support

Image
Hello everyone and welcome back to our blog! πŸ’—πŸ’— Our learning situation focuses on emotions in the English subject, which is why we are working bilingually. By combining emotional education with language learning, students not only practice English but also develop socio-emotional skills that are essential for their personal growth. This approach makes the project meaningful, since emotions are expressed through a second language and supported by digital tools that enhance creativity and communication. Evidence from bilingual and multilingual projects in Primary schools shows that ICT resources play a key role in making language learning more inclusive and engaging. Digital platforms, multimedia materials, and collaborative online tools provide authentic contexts where students can use more than one language to communicate ideas. These projects often involve activities such as creating digital stories, recording podcasts, or designing online presentations, which encourage learners to ...
