Topic: Presenting the project

Title: Proud of ourselves

Objectives and goals:

To be able to verbally express the experienced emotion using appropriate vocabulary in oral interactions → during Presentation of ideas, each student explains their work.

To listen actively to others → while classmates present and during video watching in silence.

To respond respectfully to others’ emotions → in the Digital Reflection Activity, giving constructive feedback.

To reflect on one’s own attitudes towards others → when posting suggestions for improvement in the forum.

To create multimedia materials that represent empathic behaviors → the videos presented are the final product.

To reflect on how technology can help emotional understanding → through the online forum activity, connecting empathy with safe digital behavior.

To use digital tools to express emotions → posting reflections and feedback in the moderated forum.

To apply strategies to manage and communicate emotions in conflict situations → when suggesting improvements respectfully in the reflection activity.

The main goal of this session is to team by team to go in front of the class and explain their ideas and what they wanted to express, giving the opportunity to each of the members to talk. After that, the class will see the video they have filmed in the previous class. While finishing the video, the class will get into a small talk where their peers can give supportive feedback, express what they think and make small and encouraging comments to the team that is presenting.

Digital competence:

In this session we will work on the following digital areas of digital competences:

  •  Communication and Collaboration: ability focuses on sharing information, ideas, and feedback using digital tools, and working together effectively in groups. It includes cooperating online, respecting others’ contributions, co-creating content, and using digital platforms to discuss, plan, or coordinate tasks.
  • Security: Knowing how to protect devices, personal data, your own health and privacy, as well as being aware of the environmental impact of technology.

Skills developed during the session:

While during the session students will develop several skills. With the first two activities the team that is presenting will develop public speaking while emotional expression. In the other case, the classmates that are listening will develop respect for their peers and empathy.

During the last activity the classmates will increase their ability to reflect and evaluate their peers' work. The team that is being evaluated will be developing handling respective criticism and self evaluation.

Lesson plan:
