Lesson 4 Overview

Hello veryone and welcome back to our blog!! 🌟🌟 Today we'll tell you about our lesson 4. In this lesson will get into the creation and recording of a film. 

At the beginning of this class, we will split the class into teams. Each team will have to develop a script of a film. 

Then, with the help of the teacher, they will have to film their videos.

Topic: Doing the project, filming

Title: Little stars 


Objectives and Goals: 

To define the concept of empathy → integrated in the story creation.

To distinguish positive and negative behaviours → during brainstorm and idea selection.

To recognize empathic and non-empathic behaviors → made explicit in the script writing.

To identify different emotions in oneself → brainstorm based on personal experiences.

To identify different emotions in others → while developing characters in the story.

To verbally express emotions using appropriate vocabulary → during the recording phase.

To listen actively to others → in group discussion and decision-making

To respond respectfully to others’ emotions → when agreeing on ideas and roles.

To apply strategies to manage emotions in conflict situations → shown in the story resolution.

To reflect on one’s own attitudes towards others → after reviewing the recorded video.

To create multimedia materials that represent empathic behaviors → final product: the video.


Digital competence

In this lesson wi will work on the following areas of the digital competence:

  • Problem-Solving: ability to use digital tools to identify problems, find solutions, and improve processes. It includes troubleshooting technical issues, choosing the right digital tools for a task, adapting to new technologies, and using logical and critical thinking to solve digital and real-world challenges.
  • Digital Content Creation: ability that involves producing and editing digital materials, such as videos, documents, or presentations. It includes planning content, using digital tools creatively, and improving or refining work to make it clear, accurate, and engaging for others.
  • Communication and Collaboration: ability focuses on sharing information, ideas, and feedback using digital tools, and working together effectively in groups. It includes cooperating online, respecting others’ contributions, co-creating content, and using digital platforms to discuss, plan, or coordinate tasks.

Skills developed during the lesson:

During the session they will not only develop academic skills, they will also develop socio-emotionals ones.

In the beginning they will already have developed emotional recognition from previous lessons. While developing the script and writing down the ideas they will build creativity and storytelling at the same time as teamwork and organization. 

Finally, the recording activity will help them develop spatial awareness, emotional expression at the time of acting and after recording, while watching the video they will develop self evaluation and reflexion. 


Lesson plan:

Activity 

Description 

Presentation of ideas (5 minutes)

They must do a brainstorm session where they must write down some ideas in a google document every member of the group. After that they must talk and come to an agreement in which ideas of the brainstorm list they are going to use 

Develop a story (10 minutes)

After having all the ideas clear they will have to create a story with a clear beginning, middle and ending. 

Writing a script (10 minutes)

Having clear what they want to transmit, they will have to write down in which part of the class they are going to record it, what every teammate will say and do. 

Record (20 minutes)

Finally, with the help of the teacher they will have to record what they wrote. While filming it they will have the opportunity to check what they have done and if they want, change it or record it again.

  • Classroom or space to film 

  • School's computers

  • Phone or camera
