Final product

Image
Hello everyone! 😊  After reflecting on our goals and ideas, we have already created the final idea for our final product. Now we'll tell you what it's about and how we developed it. The final product of this project will be a short video created by students in small groups. In these videos, they will represent situations where they face different emotional challenges and show positive ways to deal with them. With the teacher’s support, students will plan and record their videos during one of the sessions, using imagination and teamwork to make the situations realistic and meaningful. They will be encouraged to include dialogues, expressions, and actions that reflect real emotions and strategies such as asking for help, staying calm, or communicating effectively. In the following session, all groups will watch the videos together and take part in a group discussion. This reflection time will allow students to share what they learned, identify the emotions represented, and comm...

Methodology of Our Learning Situation

Hello everyone, welcome back to the blog! 💗👋In this entry we want to share with you the methodology that will guide our learning situation. It is important to explain how we are going to work, which strategies we will use, and why this approach will help us achieve meaningful learning. Our learning situation is based on Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and Project-Based Learning (PjBL). Both approaches place students at the center of the process, encouraging them not only to acquire knowledge but also to think critically, collaborate, and apply what they learn to real-world contexts. Problem-Based Learning (PBL) Problem solving is understood as the intentional elimination of uncertainty through direct experiences under supervision. Depending on the level of student involvement, PBL can take different forms: Level 1: Teacher-directed problem solving. The teacher provides the problem and guides the process step by step. Level 2: Problems are defined by the teacher or textbook, but studen...

Internet Multimedia as Supplementary Materials

Image
Hey guys, welcome back to our blog!! 💘 Today we're going to talk about the scientific basis behind developing materials from different multimedia on the internet. We have used this resource for our learning situation, so today we're talking about its theoretical foundations and evidence-based benefits. The use of Internet multimedia, such as videos, podcasts, infographics, or interactive websites, allows teachers to create supplementary materials in different formats and adapt them to specific contexts. This means that the same content can be reshaped to fit the needs of different learners, making lessons more flexible and accessible. One of the strongest benefits of multimedia is its ability to engage students. When information is presented through dynamic and familiar digital formats, students are more motivated and attentive, which makes learning more meaningful. Scientific evidence supports this idea. Research has shown that combining text with images or video improves com...

Lesson 3 overview

Image
Hello everyone! 👋 Today we want to share our next lesson, which focuses on empathy, emotions, and positive behaviour through the visualisation of the short film Joy and Heron . This activity helps children recognise feelings in others and understand different perspectives. We’ll start with a short discussion about empathy. Students answer questions like What does empathy mean? and How does it feel to show or receive empathy? They will look up the definition online to build interest and digital literacy. Next, they will watch The Joy Story: Joy and Heron . As they watch, children pay close attention to the characters’ expressions and actions. Afterwards, they answer a few questions to check their understanding and discuss how the dog showed empathy, why kindness matters, and some other questions. Then, students will do a creative task of writing their own ending to the story. This activity encourages imagination, and writing practice in English. To finish the lesson, the class re...
